CHARLES LECLERC WINS AUSTRALIAN GP

“The world of sports never sees a dull moment,” said Scorch. “Now who won and what competition,” asked Felix while he cut off the dry leaves from his garden pots.

“Charles Leclerc has won the Australian Grand Prix. The 24-year-old is a Ferrari driver, is from Monaco (a country in Europe), and this is his second win in three races,” said Scorch.

“That’s wonderful. My crystal ball tells me that the 2022 Australian Grand Prix is officially known as the Formula 1 Heineken Australian Grand Prix 2022. It was a Formula One motor race held on 10 April in Melbourne, Victoria. Car racing is a popular sport and Grand Prix races are run throughout Europe and North America,” added Verum.

“This is very informative,” Felix walked into the room, kept his gardening tools away, and grabbed a chair. “I am tired, but this topic is fun to discuss. So did Leclerc achieve any firsts,” Felix asked.

“Yes! This is Leclerc’s first career grand slam. For a driver to win a grand slam, the driver needs to have a win, a pole position in the qualifying, set the fastest lap time, and lead every single lap.

Ferrari is a luxury Italian auto manufacturing company. They compete in Formula One racing under their racing division, Scuderia Ferrari. In fact, this was the first grand slam for a Ferrari driver since 2010 when Fernando Alonso had won the Singapore Grand Prix,” added Scorch.

“It’s celebration times for Leclerc and Ferrari!” chuckled Orak, who thinks that racing is dangerous. He believes people should rather invest their time in inventing or talking about the wonders of the world and universe.

“Fun fact: This was the first Australian Grand Prix held since 2019 as the 2020 race was called off hours before the first practice session due to the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic. The 2021 session was postponed and later canceled,” said Scorch as she zoomed out of the door.

“Is she…” Felix was amused.

“Yes, she will now race with the MysticBeasts here,” said Verum with a sigh.
