MAKING SINGAPORE GREAT

Today, when the Mysticals were strolling through Singapore, they heard two history students having an exciting conversation. They were talking about Lee Kuan Yew. The Mysticals decided to hear them secretly.

One student said, “He was the Prime Minister (PM) of Singapore from 1959 to 1990; he is the longest-surviving PM in world history! When in power, he made Singapore the most flourishing nation in Southeast Asia. Do you know anything about his personal life, though?

The second student replied, “Yes. He was born in 1923 into a wealthy Chinese family who resided in Singapore right since the 19th century. This good man called for the construction of new public housing, urban renewal, improvement of education, more rights for women, and industrialization. I’m inspired by him.”

“So am I,” Scorch said.
