Verum was sitting at the table in the Mystical dorm room. She had a beautiful journal along with colored papers, patterned tapes, and more. Verum was planning the week – her homework, her extracurricular activities, her playtime, and her hobbies.

Orak walked into the dorm room only to see Verum surrounded by uneven scraps of paper. He said, “Oi, Verum! What are you doing? Look at the mess you have made!”

“It’s called art journaling, Orak,” she said, “It helps me focus and plan my week.”

“Why would you use a book for that?” said Orak, “Even humans are slowly going to stop using paper! We are Mysticals! We have Elementia magic!”

Verum rolled her eyes and said, “Sometimes, it is about the fun you have while doing something. Here, take some paper, glue, tapes, and sequins. Go wild! You’ll soon understand what I’m talking about.”

Orak grudgingly got to work. He used all things blue to craft his week planner. Orak decided to stick it onto his wall.

Still engrossed with her journal, Verum said, “What were you saying about humans giving up on paper?”

“Haven’t you heard?” said Orak, “This happened in Dubai, one of the emirates in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum announced that the Government of Dubai had switched entirely to a comprehensive digital government services platform. That means the government processes and transactions will become paperless from now on.”

“That is a fantastic step,” said Verum, “Doesn’t that make Dubai the first government in the world to go entirely paperless?”

“Yes, it does!” said Orak, “Also, this move will help the government save $350 million and 14-million-man-hours. A man-hour is the amount of work a person can do within a specific period.”

“Those are some strong benefits,” said Verum, “Thank you for informing me, Orak!”

“And thank you for asking me to do some crafting!” said Orak, “Nothing like glitter to brighten up your mood!”
