A CULTURE-RICH MOSQUE

Today, the mysticals visited the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi. They were intrigued by how calm they felt inside it.

It is one of the world’s largest mosques, and the only one capturing special interactions between world cultures and Islam: the mosque’s architects were Emirati, Italian, and British, who took design inspiration from Morocco, Egypt, Turkey, and Pakistan.

The four Mysticals instantly fell in love with the mosque’s onion-shaped domes. The hollows of the domes are engraved in An-Naskh lettering with verses from the Holy Quran and painted with gold leaves. Also mesmerizing is the mosque’s prayer hall which has the world’s biggest carpet and chandelier, both intricately created by hand!
