A PALACE OR A MUSEUM?

Orak wanted to visit an art exhibition and Scorch wanted to visit a place that communicated culture and contemporary art. Verum suggested that they visit the Grand Palais (Great Palace) in Paris since it has all of it!

“There it is!” Verum said pointing at the monument.

“How do you know we’re in the right place?” Felix said.

“Because the Grand Palais is located in Champs-Élysées, Felix,” Verum said. “And this sign board reads Champs-Élysées! The palace is easily recognizable by its big glass dome and Gothic architecture and the French flag flying above it.”

“Then let’s go in!” Felix said.

The monument is divided into three main sections: the National Galleries, the Nave, and the Palais de la Découverte. The national galleries host large-scale art exhibitions and the 240-m-long nave organizes a mixed bag of top national and international events like contemporary art, horse riding, etc. The Palais de la Découverte has a cultural center and museum for kids.

The four had a blast at this three-in-one site.
