A PEEK INTO SPACE

As soon as the Mysticals landed in Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, they became fascinated by its complex structures.
“It seems magical!” said Scorch.
“Yes, this peaceful park contains a variety of geometrical instruments carefully fitted to monitor the movement of the planets and the stars! Constructed in 1724, it is one of the five observatories built by Maharaja Jai Singh of Jaipur,” Orak read from his book.
He continued, ‘‘’Yantra’ means instruments and ‘mantra’ means formulae. Maharaja Jai Singh thought the existing instruments were too small to give accurate measurements; hence, he built these larger ones.”
Unfortunately, you cannot make accurate observations now because of the tall buildings in its vicinity. Nevertheless, Jantar Mantar takes you to the stars!
